GRIFFITH-1932 on verso 12 inches x 18 inches (unframed) Estimate $400-$600 Griffith was born in Waterloo; Iowa and studied at the Cumming School of Art (1926-1927) and at Stone City Art Colony with Grant Wood-1932.  He exhibited at the Iowa Salon and from 1929-1933 won numerous awards in watercolors. Most likely this painting was produced at Stone City Art Colony under the tutelage of Grant Wood.
