Dorothy Young Graham studied painting under Grant Wood at the University of Iowa where she graduated in 1942. Immediately she began to exhibit beginning first at the Davenport Municipal Art Gallery, Davenport, Iowa. She continued to paint and had numerous shows including exhibitions at the Paul Theobald Gallery, Chicago.
