A VERY FINE RUSSIAN ICON:  The Assembly of the Archangel Michael, 19th century, probably Mstera.  Finely painted on a gold leaf ground, the angels hold a disk on which Christ Immanuel is seen.  The ornate Slavonic inscription on the upper border reads "The Assembly of the Holy General Michael and the Other Heavenly Powers".  Very good condition.  14 inches x 11.75 inches (36cm x 30 cm)  Estimate $1,800-$2,500
