A FINE RUSSIAN ICON: "The Holy Cloth", circa 1890. Finely painted on an intricately incised and faux enameled gilt ground. Two angels support the cloth upon which the face of Christ was miraculously imprinted. The Slavonic inscription at top identifies the image as "The Not-Made-By-Hands Image of our Lord".
