A DEEPLY CARVED FIGURAL DOOR PANEL, probably Spanish and probably 17th century. The carved panel depicting the resurrected Christ standing atop His empty tomb with Roman soldiers on either side. The verso of door painted with an image of St. Veronica holding the Holy cloth or veil. Panel retains hand wrought hinges. Most certainly a tabernacle door. Height 16 inches (41 cm), width 10.5 inches (26.5 cm). Estimate $800-$1,200

TABERNACLE, an intricately carved and gilt-wood tabernacle, French or Italian 18th century. The arched door with carved relief figure of Christ within a chalice flanked by two angels. The door set into an architectural form depicting a temple with fluted columns, acanthus leaves and other decorative elements. Height 27.5 inches (70 cm), width 25 inches (63.5 cm), depth 14 inches (36 cm). Flat back mounted with suspension brackets. Estimate $2,000-$2,500
