Gessoed wood with polychrome. Here Jerome is depicted in the wilderness, he holds a crucifix for contemplation in his right hand and with his left hand he beats his chest. At upper right a horn signifies the final judgment and below his attribute a lion. 7x6 inches. Estimate $800-$1,200 |
