A LARGE AND IMPRESSIVE RUSSIAN ICON TRIPTYCH 19th/20th century. The central panel depicting the "Unburnt Thornbush Mother of God", and above it an image of the Mother of God Enthroned. The left wing depicting three images of the Mother of God. From the top down they are: The Galatskaya Mother of God, The Slovyenskaya Mother of God, and the Abeletskaya Mother of God. The right wing also displaying three images of the Mother of God. From the top down they are: The Mezhestskaya Mother of God, The Alexandreskaya Mother of God and The Ovinovskaya Mother of God. Both wings hinged and designed to fold inward covering the central panel and with latching device to secure doors. 17.25 inches by 19.5 inches (open) (44 cm x 50 cm).
