AN IMPORTANT LOUIS AUCOC FRENCH SILVER GILT TRAVELERS DRESSING SET  late 19th century. The fairly complete compliment of 33 accessories contained in a fitted rosewood case with bronze inlay decoration. The lid displaying an "MDS" conjoined monogram.  Opening to reveal a well appointed leather lined interior including but not limited to the following: A removable 8"X12" silver gilt framed free standing mirror, eleven various sized frosted and cut glass containers and bottles with silver gilt lids a tumbler and assorted brushes, combs and toiletry items. Each piece engraved with an identical monogram on engine turned ground. Lock plate inscribed "L. Aucoc Aine Paris" with various other contents inscribed "Aucoc". It is interesting to note that the glass, while unmarked  is of the quality of Rene Lalique who apprenticed with Aucoc early in his career. Length 13.5", Width 9.5", Height 6.75".

A VERY FINE FRENCH EMPIRE SILVER CRUET STAND Early 19th century. The handled frame with repoussé figures of a winged goddess mounted on a reticulated base with lions heads and paw feet containing two cut crystal handled bottles with stoppers. Stamped French hallmarks including "AM" for maker. Height 12".
