ULYSSES S. GRANT/CIVIL WAR PHOTOGRAPHS. A spectacular collection of over
90 U.S. Grant related photographic images including 8 original vintage
cabinet card photos of Grant and one CDB. Including a Brady studio print
and a good Brady print depicting the "Peabody Southern Education Fund
Board of Trustees" (Fig. A). Also over a dozen vintage photographic
reprints mostly from original glass negatives but probably circa 1900.
Together with 15 vintage (1865-1886) engravings and engraved book plates.
Plus over 50 different reprinted images covering the period of 1860-1880
(probably reprinted between 1900-1920 and some most likely from original
negatives). A real treasure trove.
