A RARE COLLECTION OF GERMAN WORLD WAR II PROPAGANDA LEAFLETS AND PASSES. A collection of 27 printed leaflets, flyers and posters targeted at the Ukrainian citizenry trying to gain sympathy to Germany by promoting anti Semitic stereotypes and slandering the soviet (communist) regime. Many of the leaflets include well-known anti-Jewish anecdotes and jokes familiar with the Ukrainian population and printed in the Ukrainian language. Many pamphlets are designed as passes allowing safe passage to the German held territory. Propaganda such as offered in this lot were distributed in a variety of ways including being dropped from airplanes and dispersed in artillery shells. An important record of an almost unimaginable period of modern time. Sizes range from a large of 16" x 12" to a small of about 6" x 8".

A RARE AND ORIGINAL ARTWORK DESIGN FOR A WWII RUSSIAN PROPAGANDA POSTER APPARENTLY CREATED TO INSPIRE RUSSIAN SECRET AGENTS "A Gold Star will be awarded to our fearless agents for their selfless acts of heroism and your motherland will never forget you." Artist signed lower left "A.Mordovich". Ironically, almost without exception, any and all Russians who did fearlessly serve behind enemy lines as secret agents, would eventually be put to death upon their return to Russia to satisfy the paranoia of Stalin.
