A FINE POLYCHROME CARVED WOOD FIGURE OF ST. PETER, 19th c. Carved in high relief, a tiara atop his head from which under flows a cluster of stylized hair connecting to a hobnail style carved beard. He holds a key and a book of Gospels. Apparently refreshened paint. Flat back. H.33".

The exposition window encircled with gemstones and 4 Evangelists on porcelain medallions. The entire body embellished with paste stones. Gorgeous! H.23.5".
