A RARE AND UNUSUAL "POLL PARROT" ANIMATED STORE DISPLAY circa 1962, hand painted molded composition figure of Poll Parrot within a bent wire cage on circular base. Head apparently nods back and forth with amplified continuous tape voice mechanism. Includes photocopy letter from International Shoe Company dated 1989 stating that this was "one of 25 made in Chicago by the Sylvetri Display Co... sold to dealers for $550.00...". Includes original packing crate. Height 41".
