Totally hand-beaded strap with foliate and fall motifs, bag of foliate and berry design with bead crystal chain border and foliate frieze on black velvet panel. Red tassels on tube bead drops decorate bottom of bag. Slight bead loss. Strap measures in 46" length, 6.25" in width; bag with tassel measures 19"x13.75". Estimate $1,750-$2,500 |

AN IMPORTANT SOUTHEAST BANDOLIER STRAP AND BAG, probably Shawnee, circa 1850. With tiny seed beads in foliate designs on red wool with green and black silk border. Separated bag has diamond design with tassels and white bead outline, reinforced with denim backing. Bag presents glue-restored elements, which may be reversible. Strap measures 51" in length, 4" wide; bag measures 5" in height and 6" wide. Estimate $2,000-$3,000 |
