A FULL-STOCK “PENNSYLVANIA RIFLE” approx .50 cal, lock-plate marked “Pennsylvania Rifle Works” flintlock converted to percussion, heavy cylindrical drum bolster screwed into barrel vent hole. All brass furniture, includes 3 ramrod pipes, muzzle-cap, cresent buttplate, toe-plate, decorative patch-box and lid, double-hooked trigger-guard. Double set triggers, oct. barrel pinned to walnut stock. Brass, caterpillar front sight, open-V iron rear-sight. Maker’s double-snake on rear top flat of barrel. Browned finish to 38” barrel. Original finish overall. Hammer notches need work. 1790’s-1860’s period.
