He was born in Washington DC in 1887, and studied at both Princeton and MIT with Ross Turner, D.A. Greg, and Felton Brown. He began his career as an architect, but took up printmaking in the early 1920s. He traveled throughout Europe, often using Gothic architecture as inspiration for his etchings. |
