US SWORD. Eagle
head pommel of the 1805-1830 period. Carved ivory grips. Cast brass
cross-guard with S-configuration and eagle heads at each end, with
ornate triangular shaped langets. 13 1/2" straight, single edged
quill-back blade with 10" false edge. Blade is old greyish color
with scattered staining. No evidence of knuckle-bow or chain. Resembles
the hafting seen on the earlier cutoe. Solid, heavy sword; no scabbard. |

US SWORD.
Eagle-head pommel of the 1805-1830 period. Pommel is of the open-beak
"screaming eagle" configuration, reversed "P" style
cast knuckle bow. Reeded bone tubular grip. 28.5" curved blade with
faint traces of fire-blue; small areas of floral design and stand of
arms retains some gold. Narrow fullers near spine. Forging flaws
6"-9" from point. No scabbard. |

M1860. With riveted back scabbard, separate frog. Blade excellent, dated
1862. Ames marking. Complete, smooth leather grip wrap, no wire. Rack
no. on guard. |

RARE US CUTLASS.
N. Starr, inspected by Gansevoort (G.G.). Blade stained but no rust; few
light nicks on edge. Iron scabbard has about 50% of its paint, few minor
dents, one 1" age crack at back. Looks like original leather
scabbard. Rare. Perfect grip and guard.

M1860, dated 1864. Partial Ames markings remain, leather grip wrap 100%
with rich patina, no wire. Blade very good. Scabbard is the sewn back
style with starred copper rivet at tip. Belt loop secured to scabbard. |

CONFEDERATE CUTLASS. Mole marked "McLeasons,
Birmingham". A crown over 21 proof. Courtney & Tennant
cartouche. Also on spine is "Lady Davis", with crown 21. With
very good scabbard.

Blade 90% blue, marked "USN", wood scales have waffle
impressed checkering, solid cup hand guard. Original scabbard (this is
not a Dutch Klewang scabbard) and frog. Scabbard has 5 1/4" metal
tip. |

Model 1861 (Whitneyville). Made for Dahlgren's Plymouth rifle. Beautiful
bright blade with crisp Collins marking. Scabbard is about perfect. With
6977 serial number.

M1861 (Plymouth/Whitneyville). The second bayonet for Dahlgren's
Plymouth rifle. 11 7/8" blade, clean/bright. Crisp marks: "USN"
and "Ames Mfg. Co.", Variation No. 3. Excellent condition.
Very good, solid scabbard and frog. |

frog. Overall very good, original. |

(Yataghan blade), 20", Ricasso has small "H", guard has
an "H" on one side "S" on opposite. Back of brass
grip near guard has "B.H." Muzzle ring bore about 7/8".
Good condition with very good scabbard.

RARE NAVAL BOARDING AXE.
1812 period, French design with "U.S." markings. 22 3/4"
oak handle with a ball. Retains about 1/2 of its black paint. Head has 8
1/2" cheek straps. Great patina, excellent condition. |
