Lord's Prayer, unglazed. H.3/4". NOTE: William Raab (1855-1937)
lived in Waterloo, Iowa and operated the "Raab Stoneware and Terra
Cotta Works" in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Written records from Raab tell
us that he used clay from the Holy Land to make these jugs and sent
these as gifts to famous people all over the world. The technique he
used to legibly inscribe The Lord's Prayer in a 3/8" square space
in raw clay on hundreds of these miniature jugs was a remarkable
achievement and test of faith. |
